Doormat Backing

Doormat backing usually is made of either rubber of vinyl.. Rubber backed doormats generally have greater anti slip properies so are most suitable when choosing a door mat for use on a hard floor surface although they can equally be used on carpeted surfaces.. Vinyl backed door mats are more economically priced and are suitable for use on carpeted or hard surfaces. Additionally, rubber backing is suitable for regular machine washing.
Exterior Doormats

Doormats are available which are specially designed to withstand outdoor use in all weathers. If you require an exterior door mat it is important to select a door mat that is suitable for outdoor use. Exterior doormats are available in rubber or vinyl.
Washable Doormats

Doormats that you intend to wash need to be chosen carefully. Some door mats are specially designed to withstand the rigours of  regular machine washing.
Rubber Doormats

Rubber doormats are generally suitable for indoor or outdoor use and are easily cleaned by hosing off.
